Sep 9, 2019 · While I love all the minion additions so far, I'd like to share my feeling about the Minions are Defensive property granted by the Meat Shield Support gem. For a long time the summoner archetype was lacking a way to make minions tank for you, or at least sufficiently distract strong enemies so you could take a few breathes between critical threats.

If you want a meat shield, play an ancestral barbarian. I would start 6 ancestral barbarian/3 oath of the crown paladin . The channel divinity helps catch enemies and ancestral barbarian gives you an ability that almost forces an enemy to attack you as well as extra attack, resistances and later more abilities to assist in defending your allies.

Apr 18, 2021 · I found that meat shield did the exact opposite of what I wanted it to do: I wanted my minions to keep the enemy away from me while I maneuvered and blasted them with spells. Meat shield guaranteed the enemy was always up in my face. Ironically, for defensive purposes I wanted something that would make my minions aggressive.

Pure meat? It's really hard to beat a Moon Druid + Barbarian multiclass. Needing to chew through a self-healing + Giant Hyena/Sabretooth Tiger/Killer Whale/et c. with Rage and Unarmored Defense ++ is really hard to do, considering that you're left with a fully unharmed Barbarian/Druid who can just turn back into another one at full HP again …

Jun 2, 2023 · While top sliding speed seems to be the same, it ceryainly felt like the Icy Prime Meat gained speed more quickly, and had less issue with slowing down whenever the terrain levels out. So in my experience, Meat Shield is the new Shield Surfing Meta lol Save those sleds for Korok Torture Devices and giant Mech Warriors.
