May 8, 2024 · People don’t realize that most nurses are at work dealing with the general public within a system that is more worried about saving insurance companies money and cutting hospital costs than “care”. Most nurses start off wanting to truly help people. If it were truly a mean girl profession, nobody would deal with that shit!

Feb 28, 2024 · I've encountered it on travelling websites. For example some people on tripadvisor mentioned, that they took part in a discovery tour as a "group of 4 pax". I figured it means "persons", but I had never encountered the word used like that before. As others have mentioned it's airline jargon when counting number of passengers.

And I kind of disagree with you. I don't like lazy people, I don't like entitled people and I really, really hate people who can't own up to their own failures -- but I don't give a flying fuck if my employees aree on reddit or facebook at work, as long as it doesn't interfere with their work.

Nov 28, 2022 · Personally, I think people with simply mean or angry dispositions have miserable lives, racked with feelings of incompetence, anger, envy, etc. It's maybe not even due to trauma or more legitimate issues, so much as discontent.

"What you do mean YOU PEOPLE?" I never understood this, because it seems like it would just imply an observation of a group of people the observer doesn't belong to. Otherwise they would use a different phrase to include themselves. It doesn't come off as offensive if someone refers to a group they belong to as "my people", why just "you people"?

Jul 29, 2021 · I was born nice. I think I became mean in my mid 20s. Being nice to guys got me sexually assaulted. Being nice to employers got me taken advantage of while they withheld paychecks. Trying hard got me attacked by people who didn't want to try hard.
