Feb 5, 2025 · Here are pictures of the notorious 645 Super/TL/Pro TL mirror-rest in unbroken condition. There should be no cracks in the horizontal plastic lever. If there are, or the whole lever is broken off, then focus will definitely be affected due to the mirror not being at exactly 45 degrees to the lens and focusing screen.

May 25, 2010 · Today, completely on a whim I bought a Mamiya 645 Pro tl (or at least part of one). I first saw the mirror box in a crate of junk cameras at the store. It looked pretty good and was priced at $10! Then I hunted through another crate and found the winder/grip for $20 (rubberized grip is breaking down a bit).

May 26, 2010 · What exactly is the advantage of moving up from the Mamiya 1000s to the Pro TL body. Of course everybody is going to say the Pro TL has interchangeable backs instead of inserts. However, you still have to load those backs with 120/220 inserts so what's the point.

Feb 13, 2006 · As others have stated, the 55mm N is the sharpest of the Mamiya 645 wide-angles. In fact, even hand-held, I have gotten some extremely sharp photos with that lens. My experience is also that the 35mm lens is the least sharp of the wide-angles.

Dec 21, 2009 · <p>The Metz 45 CL-4 hammerhead flash will work with the SCA-396 adapter in TTL mode on the 645 Pro TL.<br> There is also one elusive Quantum ring flash, which can be made to work with the TTL mode as well, but I have never seen one for sale with the correct adapter for the Mamiya 645.<br>
