The Maluku Islands (/ məˈluːkuː, mæˈluːkuː / mə-LOO-koo, mal-OO-; Indonesian: Kepulauan Maluku) or the Moluccas (/ məˈlʌkəz / mə-LUK-əz; Dutch: Molukken) are an archipelago in the eastern part of Indonesia. Tectonically they are located on the Halmahera Plate within the Molucca Sea Collision Zone.

Maluku is located in Eastern Indonesia and geographically located in West-Melanesia, between Sulawesi and Western New Guinea, and comprises the central and southern regions of the Maluku Islands.
