Jun 8, 2021 · Mai only really appeared in the exchange arc with scarce fights and moments to herself, but she still impacted me because she was essentially the only member of the Zenin that Maki considered family and now that Mai is gone, so is Maki's connection to them, she has no reason to be remorseful towards them as she dismantles them member by member.

Dec 7, 2022 · Well, they're sold to arcades just like any other cab, thus they are available just like any other cab, but DX is much harder to find because 1) it's still a relatively new game, 2) cabinet sales are very likely to be much less than the original maimai cabinet, which came out about 7 years after and many arcades have closed since then or downsized their video arcade section.

i actually really like maki/mai's relationship, especially for the character beats in this story i think theres a really interesting message in mai's "destroy everything" about institutions that are too rotten to be reformed; i think something that would've made it clearer/sharper would've been seeing more explicitly the abuse mai experienced -- especially the abuse she experienced …

They’re supposed to be about 16-17 years old.
