Yep, you can interchange those freely, they have the same impedance and run from track power. PS2/3 couplers are NOT compatible with TMCC or PS/1.

I have an MTH Ex-Reading T-1 2101 Chessie with six (6) cars, and the RPO car seems to uncouple at speeds of twenty (20) or so SMPH. I was wondering what I should do for this, whether I should get an entirely new coupler, or new parts for it. Dec 30, 2012 · Railride you're incorrect. The whistle and bell will operate conventionally with the cab1 and powermaster or ZW-C. I think Nocole is correct on the track power controller. It sends the correct dc offsets out with the correct timing to control the couplers. Ron

Guess I'm living in "coupler hell" these days. Got the GGD uncoupling problem figured out, and now the MTH baggage car won't stay coupled. It has the sliding tab type of coupler, is there a way to fix these or is it another call to Midge time? Leaving the train behind at random spots while the locomotive merrily goes it's own way isn't making for a fun session.
