Sep 15, 2018 · When I bought it, the retailer mounted extra SSD and RAM in. SSD is working on M.2 socket (Goodram s400 SSD) but it's not detected in BIOS nor by Windows device manager. I installed Windows on HDD temporarily, updated BIOS and firmware to the latest versions found on MSi site, installed all the up to date ddrivers, but it didn't solve the problem.

Mar 20, 2021 · A 2TB SSD would be too damn expensive, and in addition possibly more heat producing, I will stick to a 1TB one. I'm wondering more about heating issues, and suspect it's the reason why MSI didn't provide factory-made 2×1TB models.

Upgrade to a 512 GB or 1 TB SSD and you won't have to worry about this issue. You can also replace your HD with an SSD and 2.5-inch SSDs are now available in 4 TB capacities which are double the size of the largest notebook HD capacity.
