MRL 290, SDP40-2XR ( SDP40 ). Made with Kato SD40 on SD45 sill. The rear end was made with styrene, BLMA doors and grabs and a detail Associates headlight. The walkway behind the cab was modified with styrene (LOTS of styrene!), BLMA tread plate and GMM brass handrails.

During the ensueing switching, the MRL 290 somehow became uncovered allowing this shot of the addon power passing on main #1 with a UP stack track on adjacent ACTA storage track #2. As it turned out, the 505 was not suitable for lead so the 2 GP60's and SD45-2 HAD to be added on the point of the power that was already there.
