The MR5 Mk2 is based around a 5.25‑inch woofer and a one‑inch, silk‑dome tweeter. The integrated amplifiers are analogue 'chip' type devices that include active protection circuitry, and of the 85W available, 55W is sent to the woofer and 30W to the tweeter.

These monitors are affordable studio (and DJ) two-way reference monitors. The MR5 has a 1 inch tweeter, 5.25 inch woofer and 55 watts in the low end and 30 watts in the high end, with a bass port at the back.

The Mackie MR5s are some of the nicer sounding studio monitors out there, with great power and well rounded EQ. The box design on the Mk2 edition is really an overlooked one, one that produces a nice bass response and good volume levels. Punchy 5 inch woofers are great for precise, centered mids and bass.

Matching pro-level Mackies. Each monitor is rated at 110w and delivers crystal clear sound even with the volume cranked. **There is some wear/scratches around the surface of each speaker, as shown in the photos. Other than that minor flaw, these are great for any home studio.

Among the many design changes, the updated two-way, bi-amplified monitor shows off an all-new silk-dome tweeter and polypropylene woofer.
