Oct 31, 2022 · Excellent write up of the MOS as a whole. There are a couple downsides to the MOS as well that should be noted. Current 35L rank structure is at a bottleneck that HRC is trying to alleviate. There are far more E-5’s and E-6’s than there are -10 levels. Even less E-7’s.

Apr 4, 2024 · The MOS that interested me most was 35L (Counterintelligence Special Agent). I am aware of the megathread but is there a source of up to date information? Most I could find was a YouTube video from Nikko Ortiz.

Fundamentally, 35L and 35M are similar, it's more of how we apply our similar skills. I've only kind of spoken with some 35Ls, but there's a few in this thread somewhere. But both involve talking with people, applying different conversation techniques in varieties of different ways, and writing assloads of reports, depending.

35L is an Army MOS where you will still have a Chain of Command. Don't go into it thinking that you are not going to be in the Army anymore, you will only disappoint yourself with that mindset. PRT, CQ/Staff Duty, additional duties, and mandatory training will always be around in some way, especially while attending the schoolhouse.

Just curious since I know if someone has ATRRS review access, they could see 1 FY out (depending if the schoolhouse input the seats) and see if the seats are reserved for NPS active, reserve component, NG all ...

Jan 9, 2024 · Here’s a link to the MOS list for 75RR. It’s not going to reflect current openings and probably isn’t 100% up to date but the Regiment has plenty of 35 series slots including 35L. Like others say, job wise, do what interests you. That list should help you make your pick.

Jul 12, 2018 · 35L is not utilized properly in big army. That truth is further compounded outside of active army. Mix non SOF unit, and guard....and the 35L gig is not what it should be. Besides, the new off the street 35L enlistment contract is regular Army only.

Apr 26, 2019 · I think a 35L would look pretty good on an application to say the FBI or DEA, but I'm wondering if ya'll might think going in as a 31B or some other MOS would be better for law enforcement. Overall, right now, I'm pretty flexible and plan to take the ASVAB soon and then assess where I fall and what I can apply for.

Same way you enlist in any other MOS. 35L initial entry troops have a few more restrictions and might get interviewed and assessed, they’ve changed in a couple of times over the last 5 years. Reply reply More replies More replies
