Mk3 Gti - Outer CV Joint - Club GTI
Mar 1, 2011 · Just measured a few shafts, the outer diameter of a mk3 GTI driveshaft outer spline is 24.5mm. The same as a mk2 GTI. The CV joint splines where they fit into the 5 stud drive flange are 28.5mm for the mk3 GTI, and 24.5mm for the 4 stud mk2. So your driveshaft fits the old CV that needs pressed out of the hub, but the new CV is too large?

MK3 Jacking & Lifting Points? - Club GTI

Over the weekend I welded it all up and it's good as new. I'm keen not to damage my nice new repair so am looking advice on the best spot to jack the car up at the front.

Dec 25, 2003 · They seem reasonable estimates for the mk3 8v golf, was side by side with the megane to about 110, they were both identical performance wise. I've struggled to find any comprehensive independant (non-vw) performance test of the mk3 8v, they are all of the mk3 16v, so my little play with the megane helped as they were both the same.

Jul 13, 2006 · hi, the late mk3 gti came with the same 288mm front brakes/caliper setup as on the early mk4 golf chassis, which is shared with the TT. my friends just upgraded in mk4 1.8T 150bhp front brakes to the 312mm set of a TT. I may consider doing similar as all I need are a set of discs, new carriers and pads. All dependant on cost of course.
Best coilovers for performance - Club GTI
Jun 13, 2011 · Picked up my mk3 gti 16v a few months ago and the time has come to stick her on some half decent coilovers. My last mk3 was a 1.4 and I used JOM coilovers and it handled like a bag of rubbish (probably because of how low she was) so I want a set of coilovers that will really improve the handling of my gti at around 50mm to 70mm lowering.
