May 6, 2018 · The Clutch push rod has been known to drill through the bronzelite bushing that is on the pressure plate, I suppose it could be stuck there or possible bent. The throwout bearing is about 1 1/4 inch thick, so I can't tell if you are looking at all of it or partial.

Jan 15, 2016 · Accumulative error and worn parts are the cause of all (?) your clutch engagement woes. Adjustable pushrods are a palliative and not a cure - no matter how good and Gucci they look. The hydraulics will just push it out by a pre-determined distance, dictated by hydraulics and maths. Dead right...... you don't need that heavy spring.

Dec 9, 2014 · Check that plate that the push rod pushes against. I had the same issue and when i took the gearbox off, i notices that the spring that holds the plate had come loose and caused the plate to be out of alignment.

May 11, 2015 · For the quickest way to determine if it’s a problem with excessive wear in the linkage, get a 7/16” AF Acorn nut and slide it over the end of the slave cylinder pushrod. It’ll space the rod out about 1/4” from the piston without having to faff around with building it up with weld.

Mar 24, 2006 · The thrust bearing is behind the green plate on the end of the gearbox,so it cant go anywhere,the pushrod rests on the bearing and then pushes on the center of the clutch release plate to disengage it.
