May 7, 2012 · The M9 Bayonet traces it's history to a small R&D company called Qual-A-Tec. You can see a full history here. In brief, the company was created to support Special Forces and the Rambo movies were just out so they developed a knife which would later become the …
Whats the best M9 bayonet for my AR? > General Discussion
Dec 25, 2010 · If you are wanting a good bayonet, I wouldn't buy the M9, as it isn't really a good bayonet in the first place. The M7 with it's thiner, more tapered blade, is considered a better bayonet for the purpose of being a bayonet. The M9 could be considered a better field knife. I have had 2 Buck M9's and I got my first one when I was about 12 or so.

May 15, 2010 · The standard bayonets M7, M9, and USMC OKC3S and similar handles will mount approximately a half inch more forward on the FS of a midlength compared to a M16 rifle and M4 carbine mounting locations. The bayonet mounting on midlength is …
How sharp can you get a M9 bayonet? - AR15.COM
Jan 19, 2003 · After reading your entire post, I've deceided that I'm going to send my M9 bayonet to you, with a check for $30.00. $25 of that is to sharpen the bayonet, $3 of it is return shipping and the last $2 is to be put in your retirement fund, because you obviously don't have a job. It would take me a freakin' week to sharpen my M9 to a decent edge.

Jun 4, 2015 · My M9 bayonet worked fine on my first Armalite. Had a standard A2 flash hider, crush washer, and a lug Armalite used to sell for their gas blocks. My crush washer was pretty much flattened too. Unless you had am abnormally large crush washer, the same bayonet works on my ar15 as well.
M7 and M9 bayonet attachment > AR Discussions - AR15.COM
Feb 26, 2003 · Probably others too. I bought one of those M7 Bayonets from PreBanArms/Cuzco for 16" carbines, and it is really nice. The bayonet is a real Colt and the extension is made very well and finished perfectly - it all looks like factory. The standard for bayonets, flash hiders, and bayonet mounts is a matter of mil-spec dimensions.

May 28, 2016 · For more reasons than just a bayonet mount. 16 inch carbine gas with a 14.5 gas port size is just poor engineering. Posted: 5/28/2016 9:42:38 PM EDT [#36]
What is the difference between an M11 and an M9 bayonet? > AR ...
Feb 23, 2008 · We decided to make a similar bayonet in the M9, and ended up with a expensive bayonet that broke easly. However the breaking problem was fixed quickly. Personally I thing the M9 has a better sheath, and the M10/11 to be a better knife. However I echo Support_Six and would rather have a good field knife then either of the M9 or M10/11.
Let's talk about the M9 Bayonet for the AR15/M16 - AR15.COM
Feb 10, 2008 · The M9 is better than the M6 bayonet used on the m1a/m14 rifle since it is about 1/4' longer. The M7 has a 6.5" blade compared to the M9's 7" blade. There is some controversy about the M9 having breakage problems, which may be due to either the metallurgy of the blade or the width of the blade compared to its length.
