Aug 25, 2004 · The M16A3 is a Navy (and Air Force?) rifle. As far as I know the Army and Marine Corps have never issued any; the 'A3 is not even listed in the Army TMs for the M16-series rifles.

Oct 31, 2009 · The M16A3 is not flat top from the factory, but that can be changed once is in the armory. Also i dont remember (it's been a few years) but i think the A3 front sight was also different, can't remember what was different about it.
