Lukaya is a town in the Kalungu District of the Central Region of Uganda. [2] Lukaya is on the Masaka – Kampala highway, close to the shores of Lake Victoria and just south of the equator. The town is approximately 26.5 kilometres (16 mi) north-east of Masaka, the nearest large city. [3] .
