Elise SC vs Elise NA I can barely feel the difference. Elise SC vs even the cheapest aftermarket option is huge. I have built and driven just about every SC option out there.

I‘ve owned an 2005 Opel Speedster Turbo (Lotus Elise S2 i think) for 10 years / 60k miles. I‘ve tracked it a lot, did road trips all over europe, etc. It was super reliable, and that included doing all the regular maintenance, otherwise it might have had issues. In other words: They are very reliable cars, if looked after.
