As RHGB said, you shouldn't be taking two different benzodiazepines (Librium AND Klonopin) as that complicates the situation with having different half lives. The aim of alcohol detox is to take enough Librium to stop you having alcohol withdrawal symptoms which can be dangerous but not so much that you get over-sedated.

Jul 17, 2007 · Librium is the mildest benzo that I have ever tried. Why fix something that isn't broken? You will develop a dependence on Valium and Librium, but never develop a tolerance as long as you do not abuse either one.

Jul 1, 2007 · Although Librium's active metabolites are quite long and consist of diazepam, temazepam, and oxazepam. He said Librium would be a better choice. BTW - I am I doing a crash taper to get off opiates first. I only have 20mg of Oxycodone left from my Crash taper. So, then I'll I have then is Pregabalin, Librium, and Metoprolol, and Zopiclone for sleep.

Aug 4, 2021 · Everytime I hear librium I remember one of our neighbors when I was younger who was on librium for 20 years. She was a nice christian lady that listened to her doctor. Except the doctor did not know about tapering benzos so she went CT and ended up in a mental institution diagnosed with a "nervous break down" This was late 1980s and 90's.

Feb 17, 2008 · Librium and Valium are low potency with a very long half-life. Strong benzos might give u a buzz or even get u high (if you haven't built a tolerance) but will put u to sleep even at low doses and that's exactly what i dislike about Strong Benzos.

Librium is a benzo used for alcohol detox. It calms the effects of alcohol withdrawal. It is not to be taken with alcohol, as a way of stopping the shakes, it is taken when someone has to or wants to come off alcohol.

Mar 20, 2015 · The Librium can lower your blood pressure and the doses you have been prescribed are high. I insist that the supervisor checks the blood pressure and pulse (you can get a meter from the chemist for about £15) before every dose and calls me to discuss that before giving the medication.
