314.29 Boxes, Conduit Bodies, and Handhole Enclosures to Be Accessible. Boxes, conduit bodies, and handhole enclosures shall be installed so that the wiring contained in them can be rendered accessible without removing any part of the building or, in underground circuits, without excavating sidewalks, paving, earth, or other substance that is to be used to establish the …

  2. LB in the wall - Electrician Talk

May 12, 2023 · Seems silly to me. A junction box isn't a junction box if there is no junction. It's just conduit. As a result I am going to splice romex with the thhn in the LB on the exterior. Not the end of the world but not as nice as just having a continuous run of thhn into the panel.

  3. splicing in LBs? - Electrician Talk

Jan 26, 2013 · Using an LB doesn't make it easier and a guab14 (miniature) isn't much heavier than a cast LB. Maybe you need a guac so it can hang straight. LBs are cheap. That's the only advantage. It isn't like I've never used an LB, but after I found the small gua boxes, it's my last choice. As to joints in an LB, we all know that sucks.

Jan 15, 2014 · at LB Hotel. You make me so lonely baby, I get so lonely, I get so lonely I could die. And although it's always crowded, you still can make some room. just use the closest 2 by and pry away your gloom. You make me so lonely baby, I get so lonely, I get so lonely I could die. Well, the GC's tears keep flowin', and the archy's dressed in black.

  6. NM connector for threaded outdoor box - Electrician Talk

Nov 11, 2023 · A 4-11/16 x 2-1/2 deep box would give you a lot more room for your splices and ground connections as well as a cable connector. Use the appropriate rated wire on the outside, and whatever cable method you choose on the inside. The locknuts would bond the nipple and LB, then add a ground conductor for your plastic charger box.

  7. transitioning from one type of conduit to another

Apr 19, 2018 · the big problem i see with this talk of transition fittings not being required are things like liquid-tight box connectors being screwed into straight thread fittings like rigid couplings. box connectors have straight threads they are not designed to be screwed into a straight thread fitting, when doing so you raise contact resistance, you ...

  8. PVC pipe pulled out of box... how do I fix? | Electrician Talk

May 29, 2010 · I can't move the box down because of the LB in the wall, the wire is pulled through the box, looks to be about 40 circuits, and while some would be an easy splice most are pulled tight. I can not simply dig down and pull the pipe back up, seems they poured over the conduit as I hit concrete about 8" below grade.

  9. Splicing in LB's and T's? - Electrician Talk

Mar 12, 2019 · The LB is bonded through the metal conduit so just because you splice a conductor in it, there is no requirement to also bond the LB again. Even the NEC codes posted by @ zac talk about boxes being bonded if they have a splice in them, not conduit bodies.

  10. Outdoor Junction Box Height - Electrician Talk

Mar 14, 2019 · I'm installing a PVC 6x6 junction box on the outside of a house. I can't find any requirements in the code but it's about 6" off the ground. Anyone ran into problems with clearance from finished grade? Sent from my SM-G9650 using Tapatalk
