Bluegill quality is fair with many fish approaching 8". Largemouth bass abundance is relatively high and large fish approaching 21" are abundant. Crappie abundance is excellent and many fish in excess of 12" are present. (2019) In nearly all cases, Iowa fish are safe to eat.
