Laiya (Kitty in the original English dub and Lyra in other translations) is a cream-colored lioness, with brown bangs and blue eyes. She is the mate of Leo, mother of Rune and Rukio and niece of Specklerex.

Kitty's Song (also known as "Laiya's Song" (ライヤの歌)) is a romantic melody that plays in two episodes: episode 7 - Battle at Dead River and episode 34 - Jungle Fun in the series: Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor).

Adventure in the City (Japanese Title: "Pursuit" (追跡旅行)) is the 30th episode of Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor). KItty (Laiya)'s uncle Specklerex (Marody) comes for a visit and challenges Kimba to a series of contests to prove he is worthy of his heritage.
