Sep 9, 2020 · In my listening space, I would say that, amongst my amp choices, the PS Audio S300 really shines with the ls3/5a. I've tried it with both solid state and tubed preamps to good effect, (albeit, a different effect). This combination actually showcases the ls3/5a's resolving capabilities in the bass extension and the high treble region.

Mar 26, 2021 · The SE invites a bit of a musical conundrum though. The Keepers of the Flame will likely reject the SE version without ever listening to it. Those who want a LS3/5A because they have heard it can sound good will –hands down – prefer the SE in a straight comparison. It does everything the LS3/5A does, but with a little more pep in its step.

Dec 22, 2024 · I use Rodgers LS3/5a and a REL T5/x in a room measuring 15x24 and sometimes push the volume too much, but most of the time I am fine listening around 75-80db. I have them on stands and can pull them out into the room without affecting the sub integration if I want to listen with a little more volume.

Dec 28, 2024 · A few friends have smaller condos in Manhattan, London, and Southern CA, and I would easily recommend the LS3/5a - though the larger Graham models mentioned have better bass extension and aren’t terribly larger. But they don’t have quite the LS3/5a’s magic even if they are more dynamic.
