On Novermber 2, 1834, a German physician named Francis Kron purchased 250 acres of McGregor land and the McGregor home. Dr. Kron kept a diary which included references about Rev. McGregor and his life at Morrow Mountain.In 1958, Robert O. Poplin, Jr. wrote a booklet based on Dr. Kron's diary.

Sep 12, 1998 · The ancient home, built by Rev. McGregor, has been restored in Morrow Mountain State Park, Stanley County, North Carolina.It has been preserved as the home of Dr. Francis J. Kron, who bought it in 1834.
