Sep 12, 2010 · I've been contemplating an all-mountain/trail hardtail and was excited to see the new offering by Kona that looks like it might fit the bill - the Steely. I've been searching for reviews but haven't found much yet.

Best summarized as the classic 26-inch-wheel steel hardtail built for the modern rider, the Steely is a throwback to wheely-dropping, gnar-loving freeriders of the late 90s. Modern meaning, a slack headtube angle, low bottom bracket and short chainstays.

May 24, 2011 · The Steely has a 67* HTA, and is more what I would call a trailbike, which means it's is going to be a little more at home on rougher trails than a more XC type bike. The riding you have stated that you will be doing can easily be handled by the Cindercone, and then some.
