Khalil, often known as "Carlyle" by Jonah, is the dueteragonist of Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. Khalil made his debut in the first VeggieTales film. He has blue/beige skin and a black moustache.

Khalil (mistakenly called "Carlyle" by Jonah) is a recurring character from VeggieTales. He made his debut appearance as the deuteragonist in Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie. He was a stowaway on Captain Pa's (Pa Grape) ship and became friends with Jonah (Archibald Asparagus).

The oft-forgotten "ending" of the Book of Jonah is adapted in the VeggieTales version, with Khalil (in place of God) telling Jonah the importance of forgiveness, and we never find out if Jonah learned anything.

Khalil is a friendly and gentle animal who is very nice to Jonah. He seems to know Jonah somehow, as he had many things based on Jonah. He aids Jonah to his adventure to Nineveh so Jonah can send God's message to the Ninevites.

Khalil was introduced in Jonah, he has since become a regular in the series. A caterpillar/worm who is a traveling rug salesman. When he meets Jonah he decides to become Jonah's traveling buddy and help him on his mission.

Inside the whale, Khalil finds Jonah saddened that he is going to die for disobeying God, but they are visited by a host of God's messengers. They explain that if Jonah repents, then God will grant him a second chance too. He and Khalil are spit up onto the shore and are met by Jonah's camel Reginald. Together, they ride to Nineveh.
