I was KEXP's earliest regular volunteer photographer. Started in 2002 and shot on and off for them until I moved overseas in 2020. This year I launched an Instagram feed of my music photography archive and it's heavy on the early Dexter/Denny studio years. Thought some of you might enjoy seeing it. Aug 31, 2023 · I left Seattle 20 years ago, but never stopped listening to KEXP, and PtB was the biggest reason, Johnny was/is fantastic. I listen to all kinds of wonderful and bizarre music, but I think so much of what KEXP plays is found in others places, it will be hard for me to justify donating anymore.
