Sep 26, 2024 · The Kawasaki T-4 is Japan’s current intermediate jet trainer. Unfortunately, to our knowledge, the T-4 never carried any sort of armament, and is thus not eligible for addition to the game. However... thanks to the font of knowledge that is our moderator @leroyonly, I now know of two prototypes XT-4’s that carried gun-pods, 55-5602 & 66-5604.

Sep 12, 2024 · The modernization included all Fuji T-1B aircraft (20 aircraft) and was completed in March 1970. The planes were also equipped with ejection seats at that time. The aircraft received a new designation T-1B-10 or T-1C. After modernization, the planes served until 2006, when they were withdrawn in favor of the Kawasaki T-4 aircraft.

Aug 24, 2024 · Both the Kawasaki T-1 (capable of mounting bombs and sidewinders) as well the Kawasaki P-2J (bombs and torpedoes) are in line with the positions that the R2Y2s already occupy. There is also the more advanced Kawasaki T-4 that can also supposedly carry bombs and gunpods. All of these would be more grounded replacement options than the 3 R2Y2s.

A sub tree would be great, but its hard for a lot of people, however there are still a handful amount of vehicles that Gaijin should focus on more than others imo.
