Egipat se nalazi u gornjem desnom uglu Sjeverne Afrike . Na granici je sjeverno Mediteransko more, Libija na zapad i Sudan na jugu. Na istoku, država graniči sa Izraelom, Gaze i Crvenim morem. Egipat ima četiri kopnene granice, ukupno 1.624 milja / 2.612 kilometara: Gaza: 8 milja / 13 kilometara. Izrael: 130 milja / 208 kilometara.

Na severu je Sredozemno more, na istoku Gaza, Izrael i Crveno more; na jugu Sudan i na zapadu Libija.
