Nov 23, 2021 · I've never been on a 20+ Beta 500/480, so I'm curious about the Beta engine characteristics compared to the KTM. The Beta revs faster than the 510cc KTM motor and puts the power down to the ground better due to the linear power delivery. The 480 also doesn't need all the uncorking mods that the KTM motor needs.

Dec 10, 2016 · In all my reading this past week, as I have been on a massive Beta-binge, I have not come across a single mention of what the 500RS/RR 480 cc motor puts out, either to the crank or to the rear wheel. Has anyone ever seen a published number or seen a dyno of a 480cc motor and what it is laying down?

Aug 14, 2022 · The Beta Race Edition does not come with a plate if that’s what you are looking for. I think Betas are fine bikes, but not without issues. The KTM 500 EXC does need either a fuel tuner (~$230) or an aftermarket ecu (~$800) to get the full potential out of the engine. As mentioned, there is much more aftermarket support for the KTM.
