I have a KP9 with the triangle side folding brace on the way for a wedding anniversary gift. Boss-lady is a keeper, lol. Once I get familiar with it, it will go into my HD and vehicle weapon rotation.

Dec 22, 2022 · Got a new KP9 at my gunstore. First AK I have purchased. My gunstore put an ALG1 trigger, charging handle, handguard, and buffer on it new—shop run by guys who use AKs. 4 different mags, 3 different types of quality 9mm. Most I can get it to shoot is 7 rounds. I’d say it’s shortstroking and it’s dumping casings into the trigger group.

Jul 29, 2020 · I’ve had one for over a year now. I liked it so much I sold my PTR mp5 clone and kept the kp9. Rivets, construction quality, right down to the circle y on the barrel. It’s a nice tool. My only complaint is they didn’t bother to chrome line or nitride the barrel. The mags are nice and have some steel reinforcement as well.

Mar 13, 2024 · Pros for me are it locks up just the same as the stock on my KR-9 when folded, they look kind of close to the original stock, they work well in whatever way you chose to brace it and no .gov approval to exercise your "shall not be infringed" usage.

Jan 18, 2020 · Bought a Kp9 from Fostech with their binary trigger in it. The trigger works solo but it is hard as HELL to rack. I put one of Kalashnikovs left hand chocking tube on it and it dose not work. To get the bolt to stay open you have to put the butt on something hard and pull like hell to compress the 2 rubber bumpers on the recoil spring..

Apr 22, 2021 · The AKV was built more for performance and cost. The availability and price of magazines is a plus also if KUSA ever discontinues the KP9 or goes under mag availability will be a serious problem. Could also consider a mag ban being a future issue and sourcing scorpion mags would be a lot easier than KP9.
