If DAC integrated in speaker/s [like Edifier and KEF LSX] then the same thing involved in selecting - inputs - do you need USB or is Toslink/coaxial optical ok, and do you also need/want Bluetooth.

Feb 9, 2021 · Both routes will utilize the internal LSX DAC although the analogue output from the Elac will sound the better of the two, when using a low noise power adaptor. The difference being the analogue out has engaged the Elac DAC along with the LSX DAC.

Apr 2, 2021 · I would recommend trying a USB DAC connected to the AUX input of the LSX (since the LSX doesn't have a USB input), as well the optical connection to your source/dac so you can compare for yourself which sounds better to you.
