Jun 10, 2009 · In my opinion, the JBL E series towers are decent speakers that have a nice clean sound and tight bass but they need a lot of juice to really get them to pound. I don't know about the E80 but my E100's were bi-ampable. Anyhow, I ended up selling them and going vintage.
