If the #4 is the right price and has all it's parts ( Does the sliding-under door work, is the handle intact, have all it's firebrick, is the burn baffle/plate in good shape) then go for it.

Jan 4, 2020 · If the door works like the combi #1 it drops down under the stove on a spring-loaded hinge assembly which had two axles. Unfortunately, the Combifire 4 manual on Jotul's website is an impartial scan. It is lacking the parts diagram. Maybe contact Jotul and see if they can send you the complete manual or at least the parts diagram.

Dec 16, 2011 · I bought a Jotul NR-4 that was sitting in some old ladies garage for 500 bucks including all the piping and cap. We live at 10,000 feet in Colorado with lots of snow and temps that get in negatives. We bought this house/cabin 900 square feet few months ago with propane heat, sucks bad and cost us about 400 a month in propane, not anymore! Lol

Nov 7, 2023 · That's a Jotul 118. The 4 Combi is the Easter Island looking stove. View attachment 318243 It looks like the side plates are inside, is the baffle in there too or is it missing? Intact with all parts and in good shape (no cracks), these stoves bring $800-1200. A really nice one may go for $1400 now in peak season.

It was installed (or re-installed) upside down (pointing up) which put the plastic heat guard dangerously close to the iron face of the stove.
