Jonathan currently serves in the Diocese of Southwark where he is Vicar of Christ Church Gipsy Hill, Priest in Charge of Emmanuel West Dulwich and Area Dean of Lambeth South.

The Bradwell Area, which is as large as many dioceses, is served by The Bishop of Bradwell, The Right Reverand Adam Atkinson and two Archdeacons – The Archdeacon of Chelmsford, The Venerable Jonathan Croucher and the Archdeacon of Southend, the Venerable Mike Power.

Oct 13, 2023 · THE next Archdeacon of Chelmsford is to be the Revd Jonathan Croucher, Vicar of Gipsy Hill, in Southwark diocese, since 2013, Priest-in-Charge of Emmanuel Church, West Dulwich, since 2021, and Area Dean of Lambeth South since 2018. He was ordained priest in 2005 and has served all his ministry in Southwark diocese.

Feb 13, 2025 · Jonathan Croucher is the Archdeacon of Chelmsford. He was ordained in 2004 whilst working as a partner and then Chief Operating Officer in the London offices of a European Law Firm. He left the firm in 2011 to move full time parish ministry.
