Nov 22, 2024 · I've found a JM Signature Stratocaster that I'm planning to go look at (and hopefully buy) tomorrow. However, when I search for the serial number on Fender's lookup I'm getting a 2013 Olympic White JM stratocaster rather than a sunburst. Is this normal? Does the guitar look legit? Appreciate any tips or advice! Thanks!

Apr 5, 2018 · All this Mayer-talk frenzy makes me want to put together a Mayer stratocaster for myself. I already have an unfinished body and pickguard. I plan on buying Big Dipper pickups or a respectable clone of them. Overall, I still figure it will still be half the cost of buying a Mayer signature strat. Problem is getting a neck.

Nov 18, 2015 · I am a huge John Mayer fan, as I'm sure many others are. Love his strat tone from Continuum and Where The Light Is. Trying to decide what to change my pups to. I have a 1998 American Lonestar strat that I threw the Custom Shop fat 50s in a year ago. Obviously this is not the ideal strat (not a 62 reissue type or something).

Dec 17, 2013 · So, the JB neck. The older Lace Sensor JB neck was HUGE! This was possibly the biggest neck Fender ever produced for a stratocaster. The newer Fender noiseless pickup models have a much slimmer neck. It is an even taper C profile that is slightly bigger than the Fender Modern C profile. Just slightly.

Aug 4, 2009 · In fact, I have 8 of them and sold all 12 of my Fenders without looking back. Every time i get a Fender in the shop to work on, I'm reminded why I sold all mine. If its the pickups you like, get a better guitar and put those pickups in, unless you're also a fan of Fender's craptastic fretwork and so-so workmanship, then, by all means, get a Fender.

Feb 25, 2009 · I think the current JM Signature production guitar is a great guitar but really think Fender is making a mistake if they make the production Black One just a JM Sig with some cosmetic changes. I hope Mr. Mayer or Fender note the feedback and change this. Why make a JM Sig with NOS black, gold hardware and pearl tuners.
