This arrangement of the main theme of the show features Dai Miyata on his beautiful cello. I love this performance! He “sings” the melody to us on his cello as I think nobody else could, bringing intimacy, sweetness, sadness, and artistry in a single performance.

The music is intended to express the yearning for freedom that people have felt in every era. For each person, the “flavour” of that freedom might take a different form, but whether it’s social freedom, artistic freedom, financial independence, or some other, more personal longing, we all have felt it at one time or another.
