I purchased a 2003 S-Type with the hopes of avoiding some of the brake and transmission issues earlier model years had. I even purchased a "certified" car. Since Ford decided to intermingle Lincoln and Jaguar parts I did not feel I was purchasing an authentic S-Type by buying anything earlier than 2003. Well I was mistaken.

I have a 2004 Jaguar S-Type with 60,000 miles. After the car was at the dealer ALL WEEK for tests, I was told I needed a new transmission. They performed every test, electrical, sensors, etc etc and could not determine the problem for four days !!!! I had a light come on saying "Gear Box Fault" twice while backing out of my garage.

Please advise on the following if you can. I am having similar transmission problem of my 2002 S-Type Jaguar. I bought the car in 2006 with 22,000 miles. A few months ago, I replaced the transmission with a used one. Unfortunately, that transmission is now defective and it happens just after the 90 day warranty.

Jaguar S Type - Heating - Air Con Problems Deisel 2.7 - Reg 2006. Collected car from airport car park - noticed heater controls were not working - cool air from centre vent driver side - warm air from centre vent passenger side. The heater temp control also does not work. Any ideas what the problem is, and cost to repair. Appreciate your help.
