  2. 5105 John Deer Hydraulic Problem - Tractor Forum

Nov 6, 2018 · Do you have the 5105ML series instead of the 5105? If so, it has the hydraulic pump and filter housing mounted down on the side of the transmission by the differential in place of up on the engine. When the hydraulics on those get jerky it is usually a loose filter or failed O ring in one of the return lines.

  3. Hydraulic Pump cavitating on my 5105 - Tractor Forum

May 5, 2009 · I have a JD 5105 I bought new in 02. It has a whopping 117 hours on it. One day while bushhogging I caught a rock and it broke the site glass on the back of the tractor where you check the hydraulic fluid level. It sat out for a week or so and water (a small amount) leaked into the system due to the crack.

  4. JD 5105 lift lever stuck - Tractor Forum

Nov 6, 2021 · I loaned my JD 5105 to my son to bush hog his pasture on a new place he bought. He finished the job and parked the tractor. A few days later he went out to load it back up to return it to me and he said the lift lever for the 3 pt hitch was really stiff and then it just froze.

  5. JD 5105 steering cylinder - Tractor Forum

Nov 4, 2020 · Hello all! i am working on this 5105 for a friend of mine. The steering clylinder is leaking . I have removed the nut which requires a spanner wrench. I intended to just slide the shaft out and leave the cylinder on the tractor;however, the shaft wont come out …

  6. John Deere 5105 engine problem - Tractor Forum

Sep 22, 2015 · I inherited a 10 year old John Deere 5105 with a house in January. I've read the manual, done a few maintenance checks, and used it about 15 hours to bush hog a hilly field. This evening I had my first problem. I had bush-hogged for an hour, and it had started raining for a few minutes when the tractor died.

  7. 5105 Quit while idling and wont restart - Tractor Forum

Jun 21, 2009 · Based on the description of what happened, and the inside of the pump and the water in the separator, I suspect the JD mechanic was wrong. It sounds a lot more likely that the fuel pump ingested some water. Water will not pass the injector tips, so it locks up the system.

  8. Checking and Cleaning the Rockshaft Control Valve Filter

Nov 13, 2017 · It appears my tractor uses the 4300 rock shaft filter screen, perhaps an early production 4310. If JD made this "upgrade" for the 4310, i presume for ease of service and/or larger filtration surface area, should i order the 'correct parts' and make this a better system? I guess cost will be a factor, i know how some parts from JD are very pricey.

  9. Slip clutch didn't slip... - Tractor Forum

Jun 5, 2021 · By what I see in the parts list for a 5105 it looks like there is an adjustment turnbuckle in a rod somewhere along the left floor plate. Probably a good starting point. I would try adjusting it until the handle is almost too hard to push forward, but make sure the pto stub shaft can still turned by hand when the handle is in the disengaged ...

  10. JD 5205 Location of Advanced Fuel Sensor | Tractor Forum

Aug 22, 2020 · I have a John Deere 5205 year 2000 . The RPMs dropped while mowing . I checked the fuses for the fuel solenoid and it was blown. I have read information that this is possibly caused by a bad Advanced Fuel Sensor and to disconnect it and if the fuse stopped blowing this was the problem. I have...
