Mar 11, 2009 · These eggs are from my F1 Isabel Ameraucana Project (AKA Lavender Wheaten). The parents carry both Lavender from a stunning Pips & Peeps Rooster over beautiful Wheaten girls from Marquisella. The F1s look like brown-red Ameraucanas and have great size, type, nice combs & great beards.

Mar 30, 2021 · Isabel rooster coloration is somewhat similar, but it's more evenly distributed among the hackle as well as saddle feathers. Everywhere a Wheaten would have red, they have yellow. Where a Wheaten would be Black, they have Lavender.

May 31, 2023 · Probably none of the chicks will be Isabel. The Isabel color needs the recessive gene called lavender. Because it is recessive, the chicks will only show that color if they inherit the lavender gene from both parents (which is impossible if the father does not carry that gene.)

Jun 1, 2008 · Isabel is mainly the term for Lavender diluting the gold in patterned colors like lacing, partridge, wheaten, etc. So, it all depends. Do you want to introduce it to a mutt, a purebred and what breed, what Isabel patterning do you want or does it matter? All depends on what the variables are.
