IRS-P5 (also known as Cartosat-1) was an Indian Earth-imaging satellite that launched on 5 May 2005 and ended operations on 5 May 2019. The mission was owned and operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and its applications focused on mapping India.

IRS-P5 (Cartosat-1) Mission The objectives of the IRS-P5 mission were directed at geo-engineering (mapping) applications, calling for high-resolution panchromatic imagery and stereoscopic imagery with high pointing accuracies.

The quality layer is set to 1 for each height value which was derived from IRS-P5 Cartosat- 1 data and was rated by the quality control procedures of the production process to meet or exceed the quality described in the product specifications above.

The products are available as part of the GAF Imagery products from the Indian missions: IRS-1C, IRS-1D, CartoSat-1 (IRS-P5), ResourceSat-1 (IRS-P6) and ResourceSat-2 (IRS-R2) missions.
