Aug 18, 2021 · If you don’t feel the steering wheel strength or certain forces happening this will help. To me on a G29 the MX5 default FFB just feels numb and heavy, irFFB has changed that to me feeling everything and feeling more in control.

Oct 14, 2020 · To me it definitely made a clear difference. The only problem is that once I installed it, every other time I turned on my PC it wouldn’t detect my G29. I would have to uninstall/reinstall Logitech and all of its drivers to get it to work. Not sure if this was caused by irffb but it started happening literally right after I installed it.

Sep 2, 2017 · The FFB from my G29 seems better with irFFB but there are a couple of issues that I can't seem to resolve: The g29 shifting indicators don't work. I realise I should probably be able to do it by sound, but I've learned to use the indicators on the wheel.

The FFB settings aren't available in iRacing, you have to have the irFFB window open to change FFB. Not sure it's worth it IMO. EDIT: I just did a back-to-back test with the Mazda a Laguna and I set my best lap NOT using irFFB. I like the feel of irFFB, but let's face it: sim racing doesn't feel like a real car anyway, it's 95% vision-based.

Sep 25, 2022 · I use irFFB with my TX+SF1000+T-LCM and a couple Dayton Audio Bass Shakers through Simhub. running them both, I get more of subtle stuff that lets me know when I'm killing myself. I've run it with and without vjoy, and can barely tell a difference between the two [especially after the Nvidia Reflex update, 512.15 I think].

Basically only changing the max force depending on the car. For some cars there seem to be a problem (weird deathzone issue). For these specific cars I use the 360hz mode (top one).

Nov 14, 2022 · I just found out that irFFB is a thing today. I have been trying to set it up for my Logitech G29. The issue I am having is once irFFB and vJoy turn on, I can no longer adjust any of my force feedback settings within iRacing and they become greyed out. I can click the box that turns FFB on/off but I can’t adjust strength, force, damping, etc.

Jan 28, 2023 · I run irffb 2022 with vjoy on a VRS and I enjoy it quite a bit. It is handy for setting feedback for different cars that load automatically. I like the slip effect in the newer versions of irffb. Pro tip run it in windows 7 compatibility to reduce if not eliminate any bugginess you might encounter. *Edit. Vjoy is supposed to reduce latency.
