The Nineveh Plain Forces (Syriac: ܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܕܕܫܬܐ ܕܢܝܢܘܐ, romanized: Ḥaylawathe d'Deshta d'Ninwe; Arabic: قوات سهل نينوى; abbreviated as NPF) was an Assyrian militia. Formed in cooperation with the Kurdish Peshmerga, [2] the militia's primary mission was to defend the Nineveh Plains against the Islamic State. [3] .

It consisted of Sunni and Shia Arabs, as well as other components of the Iraqi population. They were mainly used on an emergency basis to carry out special missions inside of Iraq and outside when the country was at war.
