Holcomb named IDOI Chief of Staff Holly Williams Lambert, who has been with the agency since 2011, as Indiana Insurance Commissioner and Chief of Staff.

The commissioner is appointed by the governor, and is responsible for overseeing the Department of Insurance, which regulates insurance companies operating in Indiana. The commissioner works to promote improvements to insurance laws and the enforcement of said laws in Indiana.
