Interleukin 7 - Wikipedia
Interleukin 7 (IL-7) is a protein [5] that in humans is encoded by the IL7 gene. [6][7][8] IL-7 is a hematopoietic growth factor secreted by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus.
IL-17-producing NKT cells depend exclusively on IL-7 for ... - Nature
Jan 22, 2014 · IL-7 initiates a T-cell receptor-independent (TCR-independent) expansion of NKT17 cells, thus supporting their homeostasis. Without IL-7, survival is dramatically impaired, yet residual...
Interleukin-7: from bench to clinic | Blood - American Society of ...
Jun 1, 2002 · Information from gene-deleted mice showed IL-7 is a nonredundant cytokine for murine T and B lymphopoiesis. 9, 10 Mutations in the α chain of the IL-7 receptor in patients with severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) confirmed that IL-7 is indispensable for T-cell development in humans.
Mechanism of Action of IL-7 and Its Potential Applications and ...
Recombinant human IL-7 (rhIL-7) is an ideal solution for the immune reconstitution of lymphopenia patients by promoting peripheral T cell expansion. Furthermore, it can antagonize the immunosuppressive network. In animal models, IL-7 has been proven to prolong the survival of tumor-bearing hosts.
New insights into IL-7 signaling pathways during early and late T …
IL-7, a cytokine secreted mainly by stromal cells in the bone marrow and thymus, has been recognized to be critical for the development of all lymphocytes. 1 However, the underlying mechanisms through which IL-7-mediated signaling contributes to early T-cell development and to mature T-cell maintenance are not yet completely understood.
IL-7 enhances survival of human CD56bright NK cells
In this article, we demonstrate that IL-7Ralpha is specifically expressed in the CD56bright noncytotoxic cytokine-producing NK subset. Importantly, this expression is thymus independent, contrary to what is observed in mice. In addition, we show that IL-7Ralpha is expressed at higher levels on NKG2A+CD56bright NK cells.
Frontiers | Interleukin-7 Biology and Its Effects on Immune Cells ...
Dec 2, 2021 · IL-7 contributes to host defense by regulating the development and homeostasis of immune cells, including T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes, and natural killer (NK) cells. Clinical trials of recombinant IL-7 have demonstrated safety and potent immune reconstitution effects.
IL-7: the global builder of the innate lymphoid network and …
In this review, we focus on the emerging details on the developmentally regulated spatial distribution of IL-7 in vivo that controls all IL-7 receptor (IL-7R) expressing cell subsets with tissue specific and systemic functions in immunity, with a particular emphasis on …
IL-7: Comprehensive review - PubMed
IL-7 RECEPTOR SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION PATHWAYS: Major signals through JAK1, JAK3 to STAT5 and through non-canonical STAT3, STAT1, PI3K/AKT and MEK/ERK pathways. BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF IL-7: Required for survival of immature thymocytes, naïve T-cells, memory T-cells, pro-B-cells and innate lymphocytes.
IL-7 During Antigenic Stimulation Using Allogeneic Dendritic Cells ...
Nov 27, 2020 · Our results suggest the addition of IL-7 during antigenic stimulation with allogeneic dendritic cells can promote the expansion of CD62L + Th-2 + CD4 + human iNKT cells that can be used as novel immunotherapeutic to control excessive inflammation to treat various autoimmune diseases.
