Mar 4, 2025 · Not referring to using WBFS Manager to format a partition to WBFS and add ISO's... What I have is an NTFS HDD with a '/wbfs/' folder to add .wbfs files & that works great with USB Loader GX but it's not picking up ISO's. Is this a known issue or should it work?.. If its a known issue...how to convert .iso to .wbfs? Thanks.

Mar 4, 2025 · Use WiiBackupManager to convert .ISO into .WBFS you can even take your WW VC Wads and convert them to .ISO using Wad2ISO & run them through WiiBackupManger to get a .WBFS file that you can put with your Wii games and as long as you have your emulated nand on your USB drive you can load all your WW VC games by USB Loader.

Mar 4, 2025 · As you have stated, a Wii .iso file (not actually an iso file) is just a 1:1 binary dump of the entire game disc, so it ends up being ~4.3GB in size for every game. A .wbfs file, on the other hand, is just the files contained within a single partition on the game disc - usually the aptly named "GAME" partition.

The main advantage of using .wbfs files instead of .iso is that it scrubs the iso of any empty data (so a 4.37GB iso file could be converted to as low as a few hundred MB). I'd recommend converting your .iso files to .wbfs using Wii Backup Manager or Wii Backup Fusion, and having it split the file if it's greater than 4GB.

It will not convert .iso to .wbfs Not that its a bad idea but you should know what you are doing before converting a whole partition I have no experience in WODE but I know its a hardware kit you need to purchase

Mar 4, 2025 · In WIT i tried using the Syntax: wit copy GAME.iso GAME.wbfs. It converted the ISO to WBFS fine and the WBFS file still works in Dolphin. But the file size of the WBFS is still the same as the ISO (4.37GB).

Jul 13, 2021 · Also recently Wii Backup Manager stopped working with ISO files and basically only work with WBFS files. After 4 hours of looking this is the ONLY helpful link. A lot of the other archives have very very slow download speed.

Extract the ISO from the NKit, convert the ISO into WBFS and transfer it into your USB-HDD.
