Find IEEE in your Region. Student Branches provide an opportunity for Student members to begin networking in their areas of interest and future profession. There are nearly 2,000 Student Branches in 80 countries, at various educational institutions.

Feb 28, 2023 · It allows for the consolidation of the six U.S.-based regions into five, joining together current IEEE Region 1 (Northeastern U.S.) and Region 2 (Eastern U.S.) and the splitting of current IEEE Region 10 (Asia and Pacific) into two regions. Those regional changes will be effective in January 2028.

Moving towards a more equitable representation for its members on the MGA and IEEE Boards, the IEEE has approved a realignment of its Regions, which reduces the number of US Regions from 6 to 5 and splits the current Region 10 into two separate Regions.

Sep 4, 2024 · Six U.S. regions will be consolidated into five, joining together the current IEEE Region 1 (Northeastern U.S.) and Region 2 (Eastern U.S.) to form Region 2 (Eastern and Northeastern U.S.).

The worldwide membership of the IEEE is divided geographically into 10 Regions. Within these Regions are IEEE Sections that serve as centers of activity at the local level. A Region is a geographic unit that may include one or more countries, or a part of one.
