My handgun that used to meet the BUG requirements is now too long--by 1/8" If I mill off 1/8" from the beaver tail the gun meets all the other requirements under the 2017 rules. Is it permissible under the IDPA BUG rules to shave off part of the frame so I can use the gun and not have to buy a new one? Thanks.

Dec 27, 2018 · The P365 with 10 round pinky extension mag fits in BUG box with about 1/16" clearance in height. I don't have a 12 round mag because my state believes I would do terribly destructive things with it but no way it would fit. FWIW, love this gun but will probably shoot it in SSP since it is a SSP capacity gun and that's how I carry it.

Jun 25, 2018 · The G26 makes an excellent BUG gun for IDPA. Not only is it accurate, it fits a normal sized hand. We have several guys who run the G26 in BUG (me included) and it takes out a lot of SSP and ESP guys, even over a normal IDPA course of fire.
