And their customer and tech support is outstanding . There newest operating program is also a lot easier to understand . Only issue is down loading software updates not sure when there will be the ultimate .

Hi, I'm looking for some input to understand the pros/cons between IBC SL 14-115 G3 vs IBC HC 20-125 NG boilers. I received two similar quotes for both boilers connected to an indirect water tank for DHW. The quotes for both is within a few hundred dollars. SL 14-115 G3 has limited lifetime warranty and HC 20-125 has a 10 year warranty.

With so many boilers around, it took me some time to select one. The finalist is the Viessman 222-F Model B2TB 125 with NG. It costs about 30% more than combi-boilers without the 26 gallons DHW reserve, but I like this boiler. Time will tell how well Viessman serves us, but I am optimistic. IBC SL 10-85 G3 ; Up front costs and finding a good installer are not an issue (cost difference b/t the two boilers is not significant enough to sway the decision and the installer we plan on working with is very experienced with both product lines). IBC boiler IBC is an easy choice compared to Viessmann. The integrated 3 load control (all english) is simple and does not cost extra. 10 to 1 turn down modulation. Venting with PVC, even 2". IBC does not allow concentric vent because on low fire 15,000 BTU they don't want exhaust sucked into the intake so separation must be minimum 24 inches.

Dynamic gas pressure drop related to the boilers own gas volume draw or simultaneous gas volume draws of other appliances is the first suspect. Those problems ruled out you need a print out, picture or video of an exhaust analysis being done in both hi and low fire proving your unit has been tuned properly for your installation.

The NTI will turn down to 7k versus the 15k of the IBC so depending on your zoning that may be a deciding factor. The IBC is a pretty new product, while the NTI has been around awhile. I like their SL boilers for their side connections (either left and/or right) for Munchkin change-outs or tight locations. I can't say that the IBC boilers are flawless as we had issues with all - save one - of them, but they were minor (a bad ignition module, a faulty pressure switch and a glitch in the coding) and are working fine.
