Oct 5, 2022 · I’ve recently brought a hornby class 56 ESU 3.5 sound decoder without a speaker attached and I was wondering where I can attach a speaker to the decoder. Looking at the pin out diagram of 21 pin decoders, it looks like pins (actually sockets) 9 & 10 are the speaker connections. For that version of ESU you need a rare as hen’s teeth 100ohm speaker.
