Jun 8, 2005 · The Honda shop I worked in during that era didn't see many of the little Twinstars unless they had been totally ragged out by kids. 80 was okay, I think it was 81 or 82 that went to the 12v electrics and CDI but otherwise NBD. It's late and I'm too lazy to check. There was a time I had the points p/n memorized for that bike.

Mar 14, 2007 · I traded a lawnmower the other day for a 1980 CM200t. The head light is missing, it needs a battery, but it still runs. The carb needs cleaned, I think, it could be an electric issue since the battery is dead. Its rusty and got knobbie tires front and back. The sprockets are good. Its got 9 thousand miles showing. It came with a title.

May 23, 2012 · I'd suggest you avoid chinese copy carbs if possible, I fitted a "Runtong" copy of a Keihin carb to an '80 Honda CM200T, and it took a lot of messing about to get it running right. If the other chinese carbs are anything like Runtong be prepared at least to have completely the wrong jets (even if they're marked as the right ones )

I got to looking for a small sidecar and came across the indian made Inder sidecars. All I really want the hack to do is haul my butt and my dogs butt around on country roads.

All these engines from the late 1970s through the early 1980s were more-or-less the same, with some slight differences between internals or the engine mounts themselves, depending what chassis they were made for.

Apr 10, 2008 · The CB400 is a little earlier issue and is a four like the CB750F. The CM is a twin and probably vibrates a little more that a well tuned 4 cylinder. I have the smaller cm200t and it runs quietly and effeciently.
