But, hog panels are used to exclude hogs/pigs from eating / taking over the feed area. More pigs coming to the feeder, less deer will show up. I've only had one or two cows get into a feed pen made of 34" hog panels, most folks use the 50" panels to keep cows out & cut down a couple panels to make deer access easier. They too will exclude pigs.

Jul 19, 2012 · I've used horse, cattle, combination and hog panels ranging from 60" to 34". The 34" hog panels have worked good for me as long as you build them big enough to contain all corn/feed inside the pen. IMO, height didn't play as big a part as building the pens large enough so that no corn/feed ever gets outside of them.

I use hog panels and make it round. I pick the spot I want the feeder then drive in one T-post to start. I use concrete wire ties and wire tool to speed the build up. I then tie the first panel to the T-post. I then lay the rest of the panels in a circle shape or close to it. I then wire all the panels to together and overlap one spacing.
